Parenting with intention is big these days.

If you’re raising Catholic kids it can be particularly challenging to raise them in an intentionally Catholic way.

We all know we need to train our kids to sit still and be quiet at mass…

And up to a certain age, we can get away with using snacks and small trinkets as a bribe for good mass behavior.

But what happens when they’re too old for dry cereal and toys?

They know they need to sit still (ish) and be quiet (ish).

But are they learning anything about our faith with that Frozen or Spiderman coloring book?

I don’t know about you, but I often feel like a broken record when I’m trying to teach them about the rich traditions of the Catholic mass.

I get it.

Mass can be boring for kids.

I tried to make the switch from secular coloring books to Christian ones.

But I wanted something that would keep my kids entertained during mass AND teach them about the mass and our faith at the same time.

So I went looking…

And never could really find something in the right age range (4-8 years).

Everything I found (not a lot, to be honest) was either too young or a bit too old…

So I created the Evangelion Catholic Children’s Mass Book.

Evangelion combines fun activities like coloring, mazes, and word searches with practical learning opportunities like vocabulary words and facts about saints.

In fact, the first vocabulary word is Evangelion!

Every Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation for an entire liturgical year.

Each day has five or six words from the readings for the kids to listen for…

This helps them get excited about paying attention to the mass.

Baby steps, am I right?

I can tell you since our family started this, our kids have made huge strides in starting to pay attention to what is actually happening.

Sure, just taking your kids to mass can feel like an accomplishment.

But wouldn’t you love to know that they’re doing more than just hopefully soaking it in somehow?

Wouldn’t you like to know they’re actively learning about our faith AND learning to pay attention at Mass?

Wouldn’t you, as a parent, like to be present for mass instead of trying to constantly make sure they’re focused?

Plus you can feel good knowing your purchase supports another Catholic mom doing her best to raise solid Catholic kids.

Available in a professionally printed, spiral-bound book (they won’t take up too much space in the pews this way...we learned that the hard way) using at least 60# paper which means most markers and pens won’t bleed through...

Or a print-yourself download.

Evangelion is the perfect addition to your mass bag.

It’s also a great gift idea for you Catholic grandmas who would rather purchase faith-based gifts for your grandkids instead of toys and books that will be relegated to the yard sale pile within weeks!

The 2024 books start on December 3 with the beginning of Advent so don’t miss out!
